Lexus the brand name behind refined luxury vehicles reminds us of a quiet, a luxurious ride and a commendable performance from one of the silent engines ever made. The brand stands as a hallmark for its good craftsmanship with a commendable performance from the engines.

The brand name was launched by Toyota in 1989. Lexus reminds us of the company’s undeterred efforts to create world class luxury cars. The beginning of the brand started off in the mid 80s when Toyota started its attempt to redefine the existing concepts to suit the American consumers. The groundwork included creation of hundreds of prototypes and testing on Germany's autobahn and U.S. roads.

It was only in the early days of 1989 that Lexus launched its first two models- the entry level ES 250 and the flagship LS400. The LS400 received applause from both the press and the consumers for presenting one of the best stellar luxury car experiences with an ultimate silent cabin and a refined engine. The European competitors still had its sense of bland styling and a suspension which gave luxurious rides and this was the cause for the Lexus cars being panned by some.

New cars including SC300 and SC400 coupes and the first luxury performance sedan of the brand Lexus, GS 300 were all lined up for their launch. In a span of next few years the company included SUV s, with the launch of LX 450 and RX 300. By the end of the decade, over a million Lexus were on the streets of USA. The beginning of 21St century saw Lexus launching high powered versions of its vehicles RX 400h and GS 450 h.

In the years since its launch Lexus emerged to stand apart from many others brands in quality and reliability. Though the brand doesn’t offer as much passion as its rivals, but for people who think that quality and comfort is all what a car needs, Lexus brand is a stand up answer to their choice.
